Secha Capital is an early stage impact private equity fund that brings a unique model to maximise financial returns and impact. We invest where others do not, recruit Africa's most talented youth to work alongside its best entrepreneurs and we bring tech-enabled solutions to traditional sectors. 

Secha’s “Operator-Investor” model gives small, growing businesses (SGBs) a unique advantage to solve the “missing middle” and “management gap” via a “growth and human capital” strategy. In other words, Secha writes small checks into established SGBs in “boring”, fragmented, profitable sectors and then seconds young, elite human capital into the SGBs to work side-by-side with the team for a year. 

Secha JOIN is an extension of its Operator-Investor ethos: this program includes regular check-ins with the Secha team and opportunities to review deals and trends as a cohort.

Secha JOIN dives deep into the fundamentals of VC/PE investing: Sourcing, diligence, supporting founders, and becoming a better investor, operator, manager.

We realise that it is hard to break into venture capital and private equity, that strategic jobs with small, growing businesses are hard to find and often require a salary cut.

Our mission is to change the flows of human capital. We want investing to get younger and more diverse and we wish more of our talented youth could bypass the jobs at multi-nationals and work in small and growing businesses. Secha JOIN is designed to change all this, little by little.

SECHA JOIN - Requirements:

• Preference is given to candidates of diverse backgrounds

• You are a high-performing professional, between the ages of 22 and 35

• You have a keen interest in private equity investing and growing small businesses for impact (jobs) and financial returns

• You have a full-time job now and you’d like to someday work in VC/PE or become a CEO of a small cap business

• We ask that you represent the values and ethos of Secha Capital in affiliated posts on social media

• We prefer that you be based in Southern Africa

• We prefer that you have an interest in the following sectors: FMCG, agribusiness, health care, manufacturing
