Brendan J. Mullen
Brendan Mullen has over 10 years of investment and advisory experience in both the USA and Africa.
He was previously a consultant with Bain & Company in its Johannesburg office, where he focused on agribusiness, FMCG, retail and energy. Previous to Bain, Brendan worked as a venture fellow at SJF Ventures, an impact investing venture capital firm. He began his career as a bond analyst at Putnam Investments, a Boston-based global asset manager. Brendan’s first experience into sub-Saharan Africa was as an advisor to the Africa Awards for Entrepreneurship. His work with AAE, Bain and Secha has encompassed 12 different countries on the continent.

Rushil K. Vallabh
Rushil Vallabh has experience in a variety of industries, from engineering to financial services and most recently consulting.
As a consultant with Bain & Company, he worked across practice areas as well as a diverse range of clients. Key projects included: Post merger integration within financial services, strategy within public sector and FMCG, and decision effectiveness within Telecoms. Prior to Bain he worked as a Product Specialist for FNB's mobile money service 'eWallet', which had received awards for best payment initiative in 2012. His career began as an Aeronautical Engineer at CSIR, after graduating from Wits.
He has also been recognised as part of the Forbes Africa 30 under 30 2017 class and the Mail & Guardian Top 200 Young South Africans.

Nombuso L. Nkambule, M.D.
Nombuso Nkambule, M.D., is an associate director at MSD (known as Merck in the USA). She was previously a manager at the Clinton Health Access Initiative and before that Nombuso worked as a clinical doctor at Helen Joseph Hospital in Johannesburg.
Nombuso has a rich history in social enterprise and empowering the women of South Africa: She is the Director of Royal Kalanga, a female cooperative social enterprise in Limpopo which assists disenfranchised women to develop trade skills and access markets. Previously, Nombuso co-founded and served as the executive director of Peace of the Educational Mind, a charity backed by late Minister Collins Chabane’s Xakani Foundation. Nombuso refined her worldview when, as a student at Stanford Lake College, she represented South Africa as part of a highly selective global program at Deerfield Academy in Deerfield, Massachusetts, USA.
While earning her M.D. from The University of Witwatersrand, Nombuso practiced family medicine across South Africa, most notably in Johannesburg, Klerksdrop and Bushbuckridge.

Yusuf A. Shaikh
Yusuf is a former management consultant with experience across the energy, automotive and public sector industries.
He worked in the Boston Consulting Group’s Johannesburg office covering different practice areas across a diverse range of clients in the public and private sector. Key cases include: Corporate strategy within energy, investment due diligence within automotive and pricing optimisation for a B2B company.
Yusuf has a keen interest within the investments and consulting space, and is passionate about helping identify and grow the next great African companies.

Kuhle Mnisi
Kuhle is a recent Development Finance graduate from the University of Cape Town.
While completing her MCom, Kuhle worked as Assistant Lecturer at the University of Cape Town on a final year course, Strategic Thinking. She also interned with Act in Africa, a design thinking and entrepreneurship development program, based in Harare. She provided consulting services with JBJConsult providing course material creation for next generation impact investors.
Kuhle also has work experience in investment banking from Goldman Sachs and auditing from PwC.
Kuhle is interested in creating sustainable solutions to economic problems in Africa.

Seema Lalloo
Seema is a former corporate lawyer with experience in management consulting.
As a consultant at Bain & Company, she worked with Pan-African and multinational companies, advising on corporate strategy, organisational strategy and M&A.
Prior to Bain, Seema was a corporate lawyer in the Banking & Finance department of ENSAfrica.
During her time at ENSAfrica, she worked on multi-million dollar deals across structured finance and financing & security arrangements and also provided financial regulatory advice to large local and international clients.
Seema joined Secha Capital to develop skills in private equity, impact investing and operations, in pursuit of her vision to use ‘business as a force for good.’

Anesu M. Shoko
Anesu is a recent 1st class Accounting and Finance graduate from the University of Essex.
As an intern within the M&A team at Oxygen Capital, a Johannesburg-based start-up, Anesu focused on company valuations and market research.
Anesu also interned at Old Mutual within the Actuarial Science division, where she developed an understanding of risk, financial management and insurance.
Anesu joined Secha Capital to grow her knowledge and skills in impact investing, private equity and entrepreneurship by working alongside African SMEs.
Following the internship, Anesu would like to complete her Postgraduate degree in Investment and Wealth Management.
